The Interaction of Rare Gases with Metals
Interaction potentialsof rare gases withmetal surfaces are calculated and compared with experimental data. A local dielectric function formalism and the density functional method are used in the calculation of the attractive and repulsive energies respectively. Depth and curvature variations of the potentials suggest a classification into light (He, Ne) and heavy rare gases. Sensitivity of the ...
متن کاملdetection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts
in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
Anyonic behavior of quantum group gases
We first introduce and discuss the formalism of SUq(N)-bosons and fermions and consider the simplest Hamiltonian involving these operators. We then calculate the grand partition function for these models and study the high temperature (low density) case of the corresponding gases for N = 2. We show that quantum group gases exhibit anyonic behavior in D = 2 and D = 3 spatial dimensions. In parti...
متن کاملComplex Combinations of Some Transition Metals with New Unsymmetrical Porphirins
The biological and biomedical importance of the porphyrinic compounds have made them attractive target of study for many years. They are used in treatment of various diseases such as cancer therapy, treatment of psoriasis, viral and bacterial infections [1-19]. The therapeutic effect of porphyrins originates from their ability to preferentially accumulate in the diseased tissue and to photogene...
متن کاملComplexes of 3.6 kDa maltodextrin with some metals.
Preparation of magnesium, lanthanum, and bismuth(III) complexes of 3.6 kDa maltodextrin and some properties of the resulting materials are presented. The metal derivatives contain metals bound to the oxygen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of maltodextrin. Additionally, the metal atoms are coordinated to the hydroxyl groups of the D-glucose units of the macroligand. Such coordination stabilized the...
